The Witch’s House

The Witch’s House is a new programme that will look at issues around knife crime, hate crime and domestic violence. The programme will consist of a participatory play, post play discussions, workshops and teaching support materials.

The play will tell the story of a 10 year old boy, his teenage sister and the old woman who is eventually driven out of the estate where they live.

The programme will be suitable for primary schools (Years 5 & 6), high schools and youth & community groups, and is scheduled to pilot in summer 2020.

Like all our work the programme will develop critical thinking and emotional literacy, and will enable people to talk safely together about difficult issues they might be facing.

This programme will also form the centre piece of a Theatre in Education Legacy Project which will record and broadcast the process of creating The Witch’s House from devising through to pilot performances.
